For decades, James Womack, Daniel Jones, and their colleagues tried to convince everyone that Lean management (LM) was the same as Toyota’s management system (TMS). Nearly all of us fell for it, with some people snapping out the deception sooner than others. As the document below shows, even ChatGPT 4o knows TMS and LM are not the same.
